- 動画で総合コースの基礎講座を受講されていかがでしたか？

動画を通じた学習は、対面指導では難しいことを簡単に学べる方法で、時間や場所の制約もなくなるので、
とても素晴らしいと感じています。対面でのレッスンの良さもありますが、動画では私の手元を大きく見ることができるのが利点ですよね。
特に大切な部分や見えにくいだろう所は私の手元をさらに拡大していますので、そこをポイントに見て頂けると嬉しいです。 - 日本語と英語での説明はわかりやすかったですか？
台湾語ではありませんでしたが、理解することはできましたか？ -
日本語はわからず、英語も得意ではありませんが、それでも理解することができました。
お互いに英語は母国語ではありませんが、アートなので手元を見ながらの作画とテキストもあるので（英語）理解しやすいですよね。
もしかしたらシンプルな英語での説明がかえって良かったのかもしれませんね - 動画は見やすかったですか？わかりにくい部分はなかったですか？

動画はとてもわかりやすく説明されていて、非常に見やすいです。
良かったです。動画だからといってわかりにくい部分がないように、
消しゴムの消し方などは、違う角度から見えるように撮影したりと工夫してみました。
拡大しているところはビックリするくらいの大画面なのもいいですね。また繰り返し復習しながら描けるのも動画受講の利点ですね - この講座を通じて感じたことがあれば教えてください。

このコースが本当に大好きです。さまざまなパステルの技法を学び、丁寧に描く力と細部への注意力が身につきました。描けば描くほど、どんどん興味が増していきます。仕事がなければずっと絵を描いていたいくらいで、さまざまなデザインを早く全部マスターしたいです。
そう言っていただけて光栄です。実は大きなところではなく細やかで丁寧な作業が作品の仕上がりを左右します。それは結晶の花に限らず、ほかの作品を描く時にも役立つスキル。基礎力を結晶の花で身に着けていただき、それを習慣化することが大切です。わたしも次の作品を見せて頂くのが楽しみです。 - それ以外に、コースに加えてほしいと思うことはありますか？

コースの内容についてはまだ深く考えていませんが、先生がデザインされた模様はどれもとても美しいです。大好きです！こんなに美しい絵を描かせていただけて、本当にありがとうございます。素晴らしいです。
結晶の花を大好きになってくださって嬉しいです。結晶の花は一枚の花びらから無限のデザインを咲かせることができるアートです。これからも一緒に楽しんでいきましょう。

- How did you find the introductory course for the Comprehensive Program in the video?

Learning through videos makes it easy to learn in a way that’s impossible with face-to-face instruction,
and it eliminates the time and location constraints, which I find fantastic.
While in-person lessons have their own merits, one advantage of video lessons is that you can see my hands in close-up.
I zoom in even further on particularly important parts or areas that might be hard to see, so I’d appreciate it if you could focus on those points. - Were the explanations in Japanese and English easy to understand?
Although they weren’t in Taiwanese, were you able to understand them? -
Although I don’t understand Japanese and my English isn’t great, I can still understand.
English isn’t either of our native languages, but since it’s about art, it’s easy to understand by following along with the illustrations and text (in English).Maybe the simple English explanations actually worked out for the best. - 3Was the video easy to follow? Were there any parts that were hard to understand?

The videos are explained very clearly and are very easy to watch.
I’m glad you liked it. To make sure there weren’t any parts that were hard to understand just because it’s a video,
I took some extra care—like filming from different angles to show how to erase with an eraser.
It’s also great that the zoomed-in sections appear on a surprisingly large screen. Another advantage of taking a video course is that you can watch it over and over again while you practice drawing. - Please share any thoughts you had while taking this course.

I really love this course. I’ve learned different pastel techniques and cultivated patience and attention to detail. The more I paint, the more interested I become. I wish I didn’t have to work so I could paint all the time, and I want to learn all the different designs quickly.
I’m honored to hear you say that. Actually, it’s not the grand gestures but the meticulous, careful work that determines the final quality of a piece. This skill is useful not only for crystal flowers but also when creating other works. It’s important to build a solid foundation through crystal flowers and make it a habit. I’m looking forward to seeing your next piece. - Is there anything else you would like to see added to the course?

I haven’t thought about the course content yet, but the patterns designed by the teacher are all very beautiful. I love them! Thank you so much for allowing me to create such beautiful pictures; it’s wonderful.

動画だけでなく、テキストも本当に丁寧に作ってあって、作るの大変だっただろうな〜って思いました。
留美先生の動画が、とっても細かく丁寧に教えてくださってるので大丈夫でした。
作品を拝見した瞬間、思わず「うわ～っ」と声がもれました(笑)
丁寧に描いてくださったことがつたわってくる美しい作品。
「時間はかかりましたが・・．」とおっしゃっておられましたが、
ご自身のペースで少しずつ描き進められるのが動画受講の良さだと思います。
これからもゆったりと、お時間のあるときにご堪能くださいね。

This was your first time taking the course—how did you like it?
Not only the videos but also the text materials were put together so thoughtfully; I could tell it must have been a lot of work to create them.
But Ms. Rumi’s videos explain everything in such great detail and with such care that I had no trouble following along.
The moment I saw your finished piece, I couldn’t help but let out a “Wow!” (lol)
It’s a beautiful piece that really conveys
how carefully you drew it.
You mentioned, “It took a while, though…,” but I think the beauty of taking a video course is that you can work at your own pace, bit by bit.
Please continue to enjoy the process at your own leisure whenever you have some free time.

irenetan_pastel Attended the Clear Stained Glass Frame course with dear friends I got to know from Flower of Crystal Art exhibition and through many zoom lessons with Rumi sensei together. Even though we come from different countries, I really appreciate this companionship deeply bonded by our shared love for Flower of Crystal Art. Thank you Jane and Ying Suet for the great company and Rumi sensei for your guidance.
This romantic Rose Arch design frame is part of the Clear Stained Glass Frame Basic course, the latest stained glass style art course created by Rumi sensei. It is open to anyone who wish to create your own stunning functional frame, which you can use to display artwork and photographs and as meaningful gifts for loved ones. I have paired it with my M’s Club artwork – Acorn Flower Garland here for a Christmas feel. Simply changing the frame design can completely transform the mood to suit the display. Besides making your own frames, you may also teach the course after attending it.

I’d been wanting to try something new, so the timing was perfect ♡
- What was it like to actually make a frame?

It was exciting right from the moment I started choosing colors! At first, I wasn’t sure how to make it, but as things unfolded, I thought, “Oh, I see!” ♡ I felt like even someone with no experience could enjoy it. The video was easy to follow, and it felt just like taking a lesson on Zoom or in person!
- How do you plan to use it?

I’d like to use it to display things like parchment crafts and acrylic postcards. If there are opportunities for workshops, custom orders, or art exhibitions… I’d love to try all sorts of things.

Guided by your soft voice, Maru-san, I was able to enjoy the class just as if we were meeting in person! It felt like a casual conversation, and it reminded me of the early days when I used to fly all the way to Ehime ♡ As always, your ideas and designs… really got me excited! Thank you so much!
